Who We Are

TRESOR WOMEN WARRIORS is a non-profit, non-religious, and non-political women-led organization that promotes, empowers, educates, and uplifts women to financial freedom with a network of over 7,000 women all across The Gambia and recently expanded in  Senegal.

 We are committed to making a significant impact in the lives of women in our communities.

VISION

Tresor Women Warriors envisions a Gambia where all girls and women are nurtured and empowered to reach their full potential, regardless of their ethnicity, income level, or social status. We champion and advocate for the aspirations of women and their socio-economic development.

MISSION

To accomplish our vision, TWW facilitates and promotes opportunities to support, empower, connect, and grow women in business and leadership. As a women-led organization, our objectives are:

  • Access to Finance: Providing financial resources to women entrepreneurs.
  • Access to Market: Connecting women to local and international markets.
  • Networking and Support: Building a strong network of women for mutual success and growth.
  • Wealth Generation: Negotiating on behalf of members to generate wealth.
  • Policy Advocacy: Lobbying for supportive policies and environmental sustainability.
  • Leadership Training: Enhancing leadership skills to empower women financially and build their communities.
  • Mentorship: We conduct free mentorship programs for women and girls to help them learn, grow and be successful.

PROJECT LOCATIONS IN THE GAMBIA

We have projects in various regions including:

  • Kanifing Municipal Council: Bundung (trading, poultry), Fajikunda (trading, poultry), Banjul (petty trading), Brusubi (petty trading), Manjai (petty trading), Latrikunda Sabiji (fish monger), Kanifing Estate (petty trading)
  • West Coast Region: Farato (petty trading, fish monger), Sibanor (farming, petty trading, poultry), Foni Bondali (farming, poultry, petty trading), Fass Chamen (farming, petty trading)
  • Lower River Region: Kiang Kwinella (petty trading, farming), Medina Kiaf (farming, animal husbandry, petty trading), Kiang Nema (petty trading, farming) Tabanani (petty trading, gardening)
  • North Bank: Jorkadu (farming), Minteh Kunda (farming, animal husbandry, petty trading), Ballanghar (animal husbandry, farming, petty trading)
  • Central River Region: Mamud Fana (farming, poultry, petty trading), Janjanbureh (petty trading, farming, poultry), Niamina (animal husbandry, farming, petty trading), Fulladu (farming, poultry, petty trading)
